Moisturize through winter

For those of us who don’t have the privilege to live somewhere where there’s no winter, and instead of going outside and enjoy the sunbeams, we curl up in bed with a book and a cup of hot tea, I have some advice. Cold weather is not your skin’s friend. It dries it up, and makes you feel like you are medieval stone statue.

I myself have very sensitive skin, she notices atmosphere temperature changes so good that she can major in meteorology.

I searched and searched for ways to prepare my skin for cold weather and make her look and feel good. And this is what I learned and practice so far :

Moisturize, Drink plenty of water, Eat your vitamins!

Moisturizing revitalizes your skin by hydrating it and making it more soft and gentle. If you want to prevent wrinkles, you need to moisturize that pretty face of yours.

After years of looking for the right product suitable for my skin, couple of months ago, I finally married Dove Derma&Spa Goodness Hand cream, which I use for my face and it was love at first touch.

This wonder cream keeps my face fresh, makes it soft, and therefore it makes my skin happy.

I’m a nature freak, and I’m very pro home-made natural face creams.

The one I did sometime ago was with Lavander and Coconut.

Ingredients :

Where you can find these magic ingredients depends on your country. Try your local market, chain market stores or raw food store.

Melt the coconut oil by placing the jar into a bowl of warm water. Add the Vitamin E and Lavender Oil, mix it up and leave it to set.

The important thing is to keep this cream in dry, dark place, because coconut oil doesn’t like heat and it may spoil.

I only use this moisturizes once in the week, because overdoing it may result in oily skin. The period of application depends on your skin, if you have extremely dry skin, you should use it twice a week.

Just do whatever your skin likes, appreciate and take care of the face you are given!

Yours fashionably,

Mademoiselle Matea
