Dior Cruise 2017

It’s Cruise shows time! And as always I’m very excited. The clothes, the locations and the story behind them are different from all other collections and that makes them very special and exotic.

On 31.05.2016 we’ve been blessed to watch the first Dior collection since Raf Simons departed from this major fashion house. It was presented in the Blenheim Palace in London. For a collection that was designed without creative director it was surprisingly good. I’ve read comments on various social media, a lot of people criticized the collection, saying it was very plain and not Dior at all. But I don’t think so. My relationship with Dior Cruise 2017 was love at first look. Just look at this masterpiece:

The Empress of Fashion

Long before Anna Wintor’s reign started, there was one particularly creative and influential woman – Diana Vreeland.

Called the Empress of Fashion, she was fashion editor of Harpers’s Bazaar and Vogue, and special consultant at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Probably the first person to turn museum into a nightclub, she was a fearless woman who knew no boundaries.

Fashion and Art, Jean-Aguste-Dominique Ingres

Two social phenomenons, both expressing their time. Two different things that go so well together like coffee and newspaper in the morning. Or tea, whichever you prefer 😉

Fashion and Art. Nothing inspires Fashion more than Art, and Art is the best way to express Fashion. Perfect combination. They have one major thing in common – they both use fabric as their tool.

I decided to write something like this because from very young age, I admire these two subjects, and growing up I realized their link. This is my first post with this title, but I will write more, because they both are endless inspiration to me.

The oh-so-happy-and-always-smiling Alexander Wang is an influential American designer. Born in San Francisco, at age 19 he moved to New York to attend Parsons University and pursue his fashion dream. In 2005 he launched his own fashion label and in  the fall 2007 he presented his first women’s ready-to-wear collection. And guess what? Everybody loved it!

Begining

Hello beautiful fashionsitas, fashion lovers, observers, enthusiasts, bloggers and everybody reading this. I’m a 20 years old Mademoiselle, who is in love with Fashion and this is my way to express my love and gratitude towards the industry where there are no boundaries, dreams come true, and heels are high.

The idea behind Moda 365 is to take you on a journey of Fashion’s yesterday, today and tomorrow. It started out as an Instagram account, I was watching the Chanel Airlines Spring 2016 show online and as always I was stunned by the clothes and accessories. Since Chanel is my favorite fashion house, I decided to make an Instagram account and to post photos from Chanel. I did that and then I saw a very beautiful Diane Von Futsenberg Spring 2016 dress, and I told to myself, “Chanel is a never-ending brand, the most luxurious of them all, but it’s a branch on the tree of Fashion.” And that’s how Moda 365 was born.

As New York Fashion Week started, and Fall Winter 2016 collections are about to be presented, I will make sure to update on the shows and I hope you will like my posts.

Yours Fashionably,

Mademoiselle Matea
